JACKSON – A house fire on Truman Street was intentionally set, according to Jackson Fire Department Chief Felton.
Firefighters responded about 6:42 a.m. Tuesday to a home at 1615 Truman St. and found smoke and flames coming from the structure.
After crews extinguished the fire, officials were unable to immediately determine its origin and cause, prompting a fire investigator to respond.
Investigators later determined the fire was caused by human involvement and classified it as incendiary. An arson case was opened.
No injuries were reported.
Authorities have not released information about a possible suspect. The investigation remains ongoing, and officials said no photos will be released at this time.
