JACKSON — A man died Sunday after being shot at a home in Jackson, according to the Jackson Police Department.
Officers with Precinct 1 responded to the University of Mississippi Medical Center around 3 p.m. after being notified that a gunshot victim had arrived by private vehicle.
Police identified the victim as Debroski Tims. He was transported to UMMC for treatment but later died from his injuries.
Robbery/Homicide detectives responded to the 100 block of Forest Hill Drive, where the shooting is believed to have occurred. Investigators located witnesses at the scene and transported them to police headquarters for interviews.
Police said Tims’ next of kin has been notified.
The investigation remains ongoing.
