ADAMS COUNTY – Authorities are searching for an inmate who walked away from a county roadside litter detail in Adams County, the sheriff’s office said.
Houston Tyler Dunson, 46, of Natchez, escaped Friday while assigned to a supervised trash detail in the Jeanette Road and Springfield area, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
Multiple deputies and other law enforcement officers are searching the area.
Authorities said there is no information indicating Dunson is armed, but residents should not approach him.
People in the Jeanette Road and Springfield communities are encouraged to lock their homes, vehicles and outbuildings, check security cameras for suspicious activity and immediately report any sightings or unusual activity.
Anyone who sees Dunson should call 911 and should not attempt to confront or apprehend him.
The sheriff’s office said additional updates will be released as information becomes available.
