A Calhoun County businessman has been charged with aggravated domestic violence after allegedly attacking his wife with a tire iron, according to Derma Police Chief Demarcus Peeples.
The alleged attack occurred Tuesday evening at a tire shop in Derma, Peeples said. Police found Russell’s wife bleeding from her head when they arrived at the scene, according to the chief.
She was treated at a local hospital and later released.
Derma police charged Russell with aggravated domestic violence following the incident.
