Mississippi Blood Services is urging residents to donate blood as hospitals across the state work to maintain a safe blood supply.
Officials said all blood types are currently needed, and patients continue to rely on lifesaving transfusions.
Those interested in donating may visit the Flowood Donor Center at 115 Tree Street in Flowood or the Oxford Donor Center at 2627 West Oxford Loop, Suite C, in Oxford.
Mississippi Blood Services is also holding a July giveaway to encourage donations at participating mobile blood drives. Anyone who donates blood at a participating mobile drive during July will be automatically entered for a chance to win one of five weekly $250 Visa gift cards.
