JACKSON — An 18-year-old man was fatally shot early Tuesday in the parking lot of a Jackson gas station, according to Hinds County Coroner Jeramiah Howard.
Howard said that he and police responded to the scene around 2:30 a.m. The bullets also hit Jackson Fire Department Station 20.
The shooting occurred at a Texaco gas station on Medgar Evers Boulevard.
Authorities said the teen male died from multiple gunshot wounds.
His identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The Jackson Police Department is investigating the shooting.
