FORREST COUNTY – Funeral arrangements have been announced for Forrest County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Andretta English, who died June 28 after a traffic accident.
The sheriff’s office said English died at Forrest General Hospital. She served with the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office and also worked with AAA Ambulance Service.
Officials said English served the citizens of Forrest County with professionalism, integrity and compassion, and her loss is being felt throughout the law enforcement, emergency medical services and first responder communities.
A full law enforcement escort will honor English on Friday, July 3.
The funeral procession will leave Moore Funeral Home, located at 805 Hardy St. in Hattiesburg, at 9:30 a.m. The escort will travel west on Hardy Street to U.S. 49, then north on U.S. 49 to the Lake Terrace Convention Center at 1 Convention Center Plaza.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Lake Terrace Convention Center. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m.
The Forrest County Sheriff’s Office thanked the community for the support, prayers and condolences shown to English’s family and the agency.
The sheriff’s office is asking the community to continue keeping English’s family, friends, coworkers and fellow first responders in their thoughts as they gather to celebrate her life and honor her service.
