VICKSBURG – The Vicksburg Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured four people Sunday evening.
Police said the shooting happened around 7:50 p.m. June 28 in a parking lot adjacent to the Seren Venue at 2000 Drummond St.
Officers were called to the area after reports of a large fight involving multiple people following an event at the venue. While officers were responding, dispatch received several additional calls reporting that shots had been fired and that multiple people had been struck.
When officers arrived, they saw people leaving the venue parking lot and a nearby parking lot across the street. Witnesses told officers that one gunshot victim had already been taken to a local hospital by private vehicle.
Investigators determined that four people were shot. Police said Adrianna Butler, Kamry Parker and Jarria Andrews suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Michael Rader suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to an out-of-area hospital for further treatment.
Police said several vehicles were also struck by gunfire.
The investigation remains active, and no additional information is being released at this time.
