JACKSON – The Jackson Fire Department has donated fitness equipment to the Yazoo City Fire Department.
The equipment had previously been gifted to the Jackson Fire Department by Planet Fitness.
Jackson fire officials said physical fitness is an essential part of the fire service because it helps firefighters stay prepared to respond to emergencies and serve their communities safely and effectively.
The department thanked Planet Fitness for its generosity and said it was honored to pass the equipment along so it can continue to make a positive impact.
“At the Jackson Fire Department, we believe that when one department succeeds, we all succeed,” the department said. “By working together and sharing resources, we strengthen the fire service across Mississippi.”
