HINDS COUNTY – The Mississippi Highway Patrol is responding to a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 in Hinds County.
MHP said the crash happened on I-20 westbound near the 19-mile marker.
According to troopers, the crash involved two 18-wheelers, three pickup trucks and three passenger vehicles.
Several people were injured in the crash, MHP said.
One westbound lane remained closed as emergency crews worked to assist those involved, clear the scene and restore normal traffic flow.
Motorists are urged to use caution in the area, expect delays and take an alternate route if possible.
Troopers asked drivers to remain patient and attentive as crews work to safely reopen the roadway.
