TUPELO – A Tupelo man has been charged with felony indecent exposure after an incident near Walmart Neighborhood Market.
According to the Tupelo Police Department, officers responded June 10 to Walmart Neighborhood Market at 316 South Gloster Street for a report of indecent exposure.
When officers arrived, they found a nude individual behind the building.
After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Lee County Jail.
After further investigation, Derek Kimble, 32, of Tupelo, was charged June 11 with felony indecent exposure.
Police said Kimble had previously been convicted of felony indecent exposure and served prison time related to that offense.
Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen ordered Kimble to be held on a $15,000 bond. Police said the Mississippi Department of Corrections also placed a hold on Kimble.
The charge will be presented to a Lee County grand jury.
