NATCHEZ – A Natchez man was arrested on multiple felony drug charges after Adams County narcotics investigators executed a search warrant.
According to Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten, investigators with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division arrested 64-year-old Carell N. Jones, of Natchez, after an investigation and search warrant.
Jones was charged with sale of a Schedule II controlled substance, methamphetamine, and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, Dilaudid.
Authorities said Jones was taken to the Adams County Jail and booked on the charges.
According to investigators, Jones was already out on bond in a separate felony drug possession case at the time of his arrest.
“Our Narcotics Division works tirelessly to investigate and disrupt the illegal drug activity that threatens the safety and well-being of our communities,” Patten said. “Those who choose to distribute dangerous narcotics in Adams County should understand that we will continue to pursue these cases aggressively and work to hold offenders accountable.”
The investigation remains active, and additional information may be released as it becomes available.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
