PURVIS – Southern Pines Healthy Pet Clinic will offer free veterinary care and pet supplies for Purvis families affected by recent tornadoes.
The disaster relief-funded clinic is made possible through a grant from PetSmart Charities, according to Southern Pines.
The event will be held from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. June 13 in the meeting room at the Purvis Multipurpose Center, located at 43 Central Industrial Row in Purvis.
The clinic is open to Purvis residents, and proof of residency is required. Services and supplies will be provided free of charge.
Cats and dogs must be at least 8 weeks old and comfortable being handled. All cats must be in carriers, and all dogs must be on leashes.
Walk-ins will be accepted, but priority will be given to those with appointments. Residents are encouraged to book a spot online before the event.
Southern Pines said the clinic is designed to bring veterinary care and essential pet supplies directly to families recovering from the tornadoes.
The organization also thanked BISSELL Pet Foundation, the Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation, Greater Good Charities and Petco Love for providing additional support, medical supplies and vaccines.
