PICAYUNE – Four people were arrested after Picayune police responded to a report of a fight involving firearms Sunday night.
According to the Picayune Police Department, officers responded around 8:13 p.m. June 8 to the area of Lewis Circle.
Police said officers arrived at the scene and were immediately involved in a foot pursuit with several suspects. Four suspects were apprehended a short time later and taken into custody.
Lamar Davon Ankrum was arrested on a charge of concealing a deadly weapon and an active warrant for simple assault.
Waldemar Nigelio Wallace was arrested on a charge of providing false information to a law enforcement officer.
Gregory Damien Davis was arrested on an active bench warrant for speeding.
Willie Edward Smith was arrested on a charge of possession of a stolen firearm.
The Picayune Police Department thanked the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office for its assistance and quick response.
