COLUMBIA – The Columbia Fire Department will host its second annual Benefit Motorcycle Ride on Saturday, June 27.
The event will begin at the fire department, located at 801 Pearl St. in Columbia. Registration starts at 8 a.m., and kickstands will go up at 10 a.m.
The entry fee is $20 per bike.
According to the Columbia Fire Department, proceeds from the ride will help the department purchase equipment used to better serve and protect residents in Columbia and Marion County.
The department said last year’s ride was a success because of community support and said it hopes to make this year’s event even bigger.
Riders of all experience levels, as well as community members who want to support the department, are invited to participate.
The department is encouraging residents to help spread the word about the event.
