SIMPSON COUNTY — A 28-year-old man wanted on charges including assault on a law enforcement officer turned himself in to authorities Monday morning and is now in custody, according to the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office.
Nicholas Hodge, who had been sought by deputies in the D’Lo and Braxton communities near Highway 540 and Simpson Highway 149, was named as a suspect in an incident involving an alleged assault on a law enforcement officer and additional charges.
The sheriff’s office confirmed Monday that Hodge voluntarily surrendered and is now being held in custody. No further details were immediately released.
