JACKSON – Local Jackson rescue, Cheshire Abbey is asking the public to help find a forever home for Gates, a rescue dog who has been waiting for adoption for way too long.
According to the rescue, Gates is about 5 years old and weighs around 55 pounds. He is the most handsome boy and has been neutered and has completed heartworm treatment. All he needs now is a wonderful home!
Source: Cheshire AbbeyCheshire Abbey described Gates as an easygoing and loving dog who enjoys walks, naps and spending time with people. The rescue said he has done well with people and would likely do best as an only dog or in a home with a female dog.
The rescue said Gates spent time on the streets before being taken in and is missing part of one ear, which obviously adds to his charm.
Cheshire Abbey is also collecting items from Gates’ wish list, including a cozy blanket or dog bed, a new stuffed toy and Crunchy O’s treats. Items may be purchased through Hollywood Feed or the rescue’s Amazon wish list.
