PEARL RIVER COUNTY – A Louisiana man was killed Wednesday in a crash on Highway 43 in Pearl River County, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 6 p.m. Wednesday.
MHP said a 2017 Nissan Rogue driven by 57-year-old Kimberly Crawford, of Carriere, was traveling south on Highway 43 when it collided with a 2015 Kia Soul driven by 46-year-old Jonathan Helmers, of Slidell, Louisiana, which was traveling north.
Helmers suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Crawford was taken to a local hospital with injuries from the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
