ADAMS COUNTY – A Natchez man was arrested Thursday on a fugitive warrant out of Alabama, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested 33-year-old John Brandon Sanders, of Natchez, on May 28 after responding to a residence on Kingston Road.
According to the incident report, deputies received information about an NCIC hit connected to Sanders. After confirming the warrant with Baldwin County, Alabama, authorities, Sanders was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office for booking.
Authorities said the Baldwin County warrant is for a probation revocation connected to an original charge of first-degree rape. Court documents indicate the warrant carries no bond and is listed for extradition within several southeastern states, including Mississippi and Alabama.
Sanders is being held pending extradition proceedings.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
