MERIDIAN – The Meridian Police Department responded to a 911 call around 11 p.m. Wednesday regarding a reported shooting in the 1600 block of 5th Street.
Officers arrived within minutes and observed a male suffering from a gunshot wound.
Two subjects were taken into custody at the scene, and charges are pending.
Police said the case remains an active and ongoing investigation. Officials also stated the incident is isolated with no ongoing threat to the public.
