JACKSON – Jackson Public Schools is preparing to release a new book highlighting how the district is rethinking STEM education in an era shaped by artificial intelligence and innovation.
The book, STEM Century: Jackson, MS Edition, focuses on how JPS educators, leaders, parents and community members are helping students prepare for a changing workforce. It comes as school districts across the country consider how to modernize instruction, support teachers and prepare students for jobs that may not yet exist.
The book features real classroom experiences from across the district, including students building robots, exploring coding, solving engineering challenges and connecting classroom lessons to future career opportunities.
District officials say the book is about more than STEM programs. It is also about helping students become critical thinkers, problem-solvers and adaptable learners in a future increasingly influenced by AI and technology.
STEM Century: Jackson, MS Edition is expected to be released soon.
