LOWNDES COUNTY – A 20-year-old Columbus man died in a workplace accident Tuesday evening in Lowndes County, according to WTVA.
WTVA reported that Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant identified the man as Elijah Jones.
The accident happened at New Process Steel early Tuesday evening.
Merchant did not release additional details about the accident, WTVA reported.
The coroner said the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating.
