Tuesday Weather: Mix of clouds, possible storms

Happy Tuesday morning, friends! It’s going to be a warm and somewhat unsettled day across the area, with highs climbing to around 82 degrees. Expect a mix of clouds and sunshine this morning, with isolated thunderstorms developing this afternoon. A few of those storms could turn strong to severe, so keep an eye on the sky if you have outdoor plans. South winds will be breezy at 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight, thunderstorms remain possible through the evening before tapering off after midnight, leaving behind mostly cloudy skies and a mild low near 68 degrees. Some storms could still be strong early on.

Looking ahead, we stay in an active weather pattern for much of the week. More scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms are possible Wednesday, then cooler air moves in Thursday with more clouds around.

Friday looks to be the wettest day of the stretch, with widespread rain likely and much cooler temperatures, only reaching the low 60s. A few leftover showers are possible Saturday morning, but the weekend improves nicely, with sunshine returning Sunday and temperatures rebounding into the mid-70s.

Overall, expect a stormy start to the week, a cooler and soggy finish to the workweek, and much nicer weather by the weekend.
