FLOWOOD — A Rankin County woman has been arrested and charged with embezzlement after authorities say she used her job at a storage facility to steal more than $7,000 worth of electronics from a customer’s unit.

Deputies and investigators with the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department responded Monday to Old Fannin Road Store & Lock, located on Old Fannin Road just outside Flowood, in reference to a reported theft.

According to investigators, Autumn Sanderford Eargle, an employee at the mini-storage facility, accessed a customer’s storage unit and removed multiple items, including Apple electronic products. The total value of the stolen property was estimated to exceed $7,000.

Eargle was arrested and charged with embezzlement. She was transported to the Rankin County Adult Detention Center in Brandon.
During an initial court appearance Tuesday, Rankin County Court Judge David Morrow Jr. set Eargle’s bond at $25,000.

Authorities said the stolen property has been recovered and returned to its owner.
