CLINTON – The City of Clinton will hold its annual Spring Citywide Cleanup from April 25 through May 2, giving residents a free way to dispose of yard waste, bulky items and household debris.

The cleanup site will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., except Sunday, April 26, when it will be closed, according to the city.

The drop-off location will be at Old Northside Elementary School, 1111 Old Vicksburg Road. City employees will be on site throughout the week to assist residents.

Officials said residents should line up on Longwood Place in the Briars and turn west onto Old Vicksburg Road for disposal.

The service is limited to Clinton residents because of program costs, the city said. Residents must show proof of residency with either a City of Clinton water or garbage bill or a driver’s license with a Clinton address.

The city said it will not accept electronic waste such as computers, printers and keyboards, or refrigerators, freezers and air conditioning units containing freon.

Residents with questions can call 601-924-2239.
