PEARL — A national tribute honoring fallen U.S. service members is making a stop in central Mississippi as Brown Bottling Group hosts the PepsiCo Rolling Remembrance event today at Trustmark Park.
The event, scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., will feature the PepsiCo Rolling Remembrance truck, part of a cross-country relay transporting an American flag from Seattle to New York. The initiative honors fallen military members while raising awareness and support for the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation.
Organizers say the program supports military families by providing college scholarships to children who have lost a parent in service.
The Rolling Remembrance effort includes 55 PepsiCo drivers, all military veterans, who relay the American flag across the country. Along the route, the traveling tribute stops in communities to recognize service members and educate the public about the foundation’s mission.
As part of the Pearl event, Brown Bottling Group will unveil its own Rolling Remembrance truck and present a donation to the foundation.
The ceremony will include a color presentation by Pearl High School ROTC, remarks from veterans and community leaders, and recognition of local veterans.
The event will conclude with a flag send-off escorted by the Pearl Police Department, symbolizing the continuation of the national journey.
Organizers say the event is intended to bring the community together to honor the sacrifices of military families while supporting future generations through educational opportunities.
