The Madison Police Department is proud to host and instruct this Women’s Self-Defense Class.

MADISON — The Madison Police Department is offering a free women’s self-defense class aimed at improving safety awareness and personal protection skills.

The course, open to women ages 18 and older, will be led by trained law enforcement professionals and is designed to teach practical techniques while building confidence and preparedness in everyday situations.

Participants will learn how to recognize potential threats, avoid dangerous encounters and respond effectively if confronted, according to organizers.

Officials said the class also serves as an opportunity to strengthen relationships between officers and the community while providing tools that can help prevent harm.

The class is limited to 25 participants, and registration is required. Those interested can sign up by contacting Lt. Micah Taylor at [email protected]
