MADISON – Webster Animal Shelter is asking for the public’s help in finding Ritz, an adopted dog that the shelter says was stolen about two weeks ago.
According to the shelter, Ritz went missing from the Hanging Moss Road area. A possible sighting was reported Tuesday in Madison near the Baptist pond by Interstate 55, close to where Main Street crosses over.
The shelter said Ritz is a sweet dog but is likely scared and frightened.
Anyone who sees Ritz is asked to call Webster Animal Shelter immediately at 601-868-0634 with her location or contact the Madison Police Department and ask for animal control. The shelter said Ritz is most familiar with its team.
The shelter is also asking people not to chase the dog. Instead, anyone who spots her should sit calmly and see whether she may come closer.
Webster Animal Shelter urged the public to share information to help bring Ritz home safely.
