QUITMAN COUNTY – A boater was recovered Sunday in Quitman County after a multi-agency search that began the day before, according to the Coahoma County Fire Department.

The fire department said its personnel responded to Quitman County on April 19 after receiving a request for a rescue boat to assist in the ongoing search for an individual.
Authorities said search efforts started again daybreak on Sunday with help from Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, the Tallahatchie County Emergency Management Agency, the Tallahatchie County Sheriff’s Department, Coahoma County Fire Department and the Crowder Fire Department.
