The crash happened at about 9:55 p.m. April 15.
Troopers said a 2025 Kia K4 driven by 28-year-old April N. Clark of Taylorsville was traveling north on U.S. Highway 49 when it collided with a 2025 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle also heading north.
The motorcycle was operated by 39-year-old James K. Morgan of Hattiesburg, according to MHP. A passenger on the motorcycle, 42-year-old Jennifer L. Bush of Moselle, was also involved in the crash.
Clark was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries, troopers said. Morgan was also taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Bush was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died, according to MHP.
The crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
