Corinth – Corinth-Alcorn Animal Shelter is hoping to find a forever home for Baby Hippo, an 8-year-old dog described as a gentle and affectionate companion.
Despite her name, shelter staff say the 60.6-pound dog is “100% baby” and has a soft, loving personality.
Baby Hippo came to the shelter after she was picked up as a stray. Officials said no owner ever came forward to claim her.
Shelter staff say she is fully vaccinated and heartworm positive, but her treatment will be covered. They said she would do best in a home without cats.
According to the shelter, Baby Hippo is a calm dog who enjoys staying close to her person and would thrive in a home with a steady routine, a soft bed and plenty of love.
