MERIDIAN – A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Saturday for a vibrant new mural along the 26th Avenue tunnel, hosted by EMBDC.
Created by the Meridian Museum Art Collective, this is the group’s largest mural to date (square footage wise)—designed to reflect the heart and identity of the Queen City.
The piece features abstract aerial views of Meridian, with hidden details like a crown, carousel horse, guitar neck, and local parks woven throughout.
The tunnel, which leads into the Historic African American business district, is brought to life with colors inspired by traditional African fabrics.
Artists say their mission is simple: making Meridian more beautiful, one mural at a time.
