JACKSON – The Mississippi State Trooper’s Association is recognizing Autism Awareness Month by encouraging patience, understanding and compassion in interactions with individuals, families and communities across the state.
In a social media post, the association said the observance is about more than awareness and serves as a reminder of the importance of responding with care and understanding.
“Today is about more than awareness — it’s about showing patience, choosing understanding, and leading with compassion in every interaction,” the association said.
The association also announced that Autism Awareness-themed shirts will be available next week through the Mississippi State Troopers store.
