Woman arrested for allegedly shoplifting from Columbus Walmart

COLUMBUS – A woman was arrested Sunday after a reported shoplifting incident at Walmart in Columbus, according to the Columbus Police Department.

Police said officers responded March 29 to the store after receiving a report of shoplifting.

When officers arrived, they made contact with the suspect, identified as Kelisha Blevins. Following an investigation, Blevins was taken into custody without incident, police said.

Blevins was initially charged with shoplifting. During the arrest, officers also learned she had outstanding warrants with the Columbus Police Department, according to police.

As a result, she was additionally charged with felony shoplifting.

The Columbus Police Department said it remains committed to protecting local businesses and holding offenders accountable.
