LEE COUNTY – A Tupelo man was arrested on fentanyl-related charges after a search warrant was carried out in southern Lee County, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Jim Johnson said the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, working with the Tupelo Police Department and the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit, executed the search warrant March 24.
Investigators arrested Andre Deshone Green, 48, of Tupelo.
Green was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, identified as fentanyl. He also was taken into custody on two circuit court capias warrants tied to the sale of fentanyl, according to the sheriff’s office.
A justice court judge set Green’s bond at $5,000 on the possession charge. He remains jailed without bond on the two capias warrants.
The sheriff’s office said additional charges could be presented later to a grand jury.
