JACKSON – Jackson State University presents its first “History in Conversation,” a new discussion-based series exploring institutional milestones and honoring pioneers throughout JSU’s legacy.
In celebration of Women’s History Month, the first installment is “An Ode to Women’s History Month and the Trailblazer Who Documented the Institution’s First Century.” JSU historians and distinguished alumni will reflect on the journey from Natchez to Jackson and how that history continues to shape our present and inform our future.
The event will also feature an immersive exhibition showcasing original photos, artifacts and manuscripts written by Lelia G. Rhodes, Ph.D., the author of “Jackson State University: The First Hundred Years, 1877–1977.”
