ABERDEEN — A Blue Springs man was sentenced Monday to 10 years in federal prison for distributing child sexual abuse material over a mobile application, according to court records.
Kristopher Brandon Holcomb, 44, was sentenced to 120 months in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release. He will also be required to register as a sex offender upon release.
According to court documents, Holcomb uploaded child sexual abuse material on a mobile application from July 2024 through May 2025. Investigators said he also communicated with individuals he believed to be minors and sent them illicit material.
Authorities reported that more than 60 videos and 192 images were found on Holcomb’s electronic devices during the investigation.
U.S. District Judge Sharion Aycock also ordered Holcomb to pay restitution to victims identified in the images and videos who requested compensation.
The case began with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force through the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office and was later investigated by Homeland Security Investigations.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Parker S. King as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative aimed at combating child exploitation.
Officials said the effort brings together federal, state and local agencies to identify victims and prosecute offenders involved in online child exploitation.
