JACKSON COUNTY — A 27-year-old Alabama man was arrested Sunday morning after authorities say he was caught recording a woman inside a restroom at a Mississippi interstate welcome center.
Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded Sunday to the Welcome Center on Interstate 10 following a report of a male suspect filming a woman in the restroom.
According to investigators, the victim alerted her husband, who detained the suspect until deputies arrived on the scene.
The suspect, identified as Isaac Dalton Curtis, 27, of Oneonta, Alabama, was taken into custody and initially charged with voyeurism.
During the investigation, authorities said deputies discovered Curtis was also in possession of child pornography on his cell phone. He was additionally charged with possession of child pornography.
Curtis is being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center and is awaiting an initial appearance in County Court.
