PEARL RIVER COUNTY – Two individuals were arrested on drug-related charges earlier this month after being located by narcotics investigators in Pearl River County, according to the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities said that on March 2, investigators with the department’s Narcotics Division were patrolling the area of Emmett Meitzler Road when they observed a man sitting near the intersection of Emmett Meitzler Road and Carey Meitzler Road.
Investigators identified the individual as Jace Phelps, who was wanted as part of “Operation County Sweep” on an outstanding warrant for the sale of narcotics. Phelps was taken into custody without incident.
During a search, deputies reported finding methamphetamine, a digital scale and marijuana in Phelps’ possession.
While on scene, investigators also observed a 2011 Infiniti arrive, driven by Elizabeth Levron. Deputies said Levron was also wanted as part of Operation County Sweep on an outstanding warrant for the sale of narcotics.
Levron was taken into custody, and a search of her vehicle allegedly revealed methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and baggies, according to the sheriff’s department.
Both suspects were transported to the Pearl River County Correctional Facility.
