SALTILLO – A Saltillo man was arrested after agents executing a search warrant found a felony amount of methamphetamine and numerous firearms at a home in the city, according to the Tupelo Police Department.
Authorities said agents with the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit and the Saltillo Police Department executed the search warrant March 6 at a residence on Pulltight Road in Saltillo.
During the search, investigators found a felony amount of suspected methamphetamine along with numerous firearms, officials said.
William Wallace Ellis, 53, of Saltillo, was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.
Lee County Justice Court Judge Chuck Hopkins set Ellis’ bond at $50,000.
Authorities said the case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
