COAHOMA COUNTY – Emergency crews responded to an overturned vehicle late Tuesday night in Coahoma County, where one person was seriously injured.
According to the Coahoma County Fire Department, units were dispatched at approximately 11:32 p.m. to the area of Highway 61 South for a report of a crash involving an overturned vehicle.
Upon arrival, firefighters found an individual outside the vehicle with severe traumatic injuries. Paramedics provided immediate medical treatment before the person was airlifted to a regional trauma center.
Firefighters from Lyon, Lula and Jonestown assisted at the scene, along with Pafford EMS.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
