OXFORD – The Oxford Police Department will host a free women’s self-defense class Tuesday evening at the department’s training room.
The class is scheduled for 6 p.m. on March 17 and will focus on practical, real-world techniques designed to improve awareness, build confidence and promote personal safety, according to the department.
Officials said the class is open to the public and no registration is required to attend.
The session will be held in the Oxford Police Department training room. While the class falls on St. Patrick’s Day, participants are encouraged to come ready to learn self-defense skills. Wearing green is optional, the department said.
Oxford police said the class is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to promote community safety and personal preparedness.
