KILMICHAEL, Miss. — According to WTVA, a mother and daughter died in a house fire in Montgomery County on Friday morning.
Montgomery County Sheriff Jeff Tompkins identified the victims as Mary Pittman, 68, and Consietta Pittman, 42.
Tompkins said Mary Pittman was wheelchair-bound and bed-bound, and her daughter served as her caregiver.
Officials said the cause of the fire remains under investigation, but foul play is not suspected, according to WTVA.
