CLEVELAND — A Lake man was arrested following a monthlong investigation and charged with enticement of a child to produce sexually explicit material and human trafficking, according to the Cleveland Police Department.
Bailey Jones, 30, was arrested last week and charged with one count of enticement of a child to depict sexually explicit material and one count of human trafficking, police said.
Authorities also executed a search warrant at Jones’ home during the investigation with assistance from multiple state and local agencies.
Jones was transported to Bolivar County, where he appeared before Cleveland Municipal Court Judge Warren Bell for his initial court appearance. Bell set Jones’ bond at $750,000 on each charge, according to police.
Jones is currently being held at the Bolivar County Jail.
The search warrant and investigation involved assistance from several agencies, including the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation Special Victims Unit, the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office, the Mississippi Department of Public Safety Crime Scene Unit, the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the Mississippi Department of Corrections K-9 Unit and the Scott County Sheriff’s Department.
Cleveland Police Chief Dudley Tribble thanked investigators and the assisting agencies for their work on the case.
Authorities noted that Jones is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
