PICAYUNE — Two men were arrested following a traffic stop in Picayune after narcotics investigators reported finding methamphetamine and prescription pills inside a vehicle, according to the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff’s officials said narcotics investigators stopped a 2005 Infiniti QX56 on Ceasar Road on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, for disregard of traffic devices.
Authorities identified the driver as James Spence, 43, of Carriere, and the passenger as Cameron Franks, 20, also of Carriere. Investigators said Spence was arrested during the stop for having no driver’s license.
During an inventory of the vehicle, investigators reported locating methamphetamine, Adderall and oxycodone. Both Spence and Franks were taken into custody, the sheriff’s department said.
Spence was charged with felony possession with intent to distribute, felony possession of controlled substances and misdemeanor possession of controlled substances, according to the department. Franks was charged with felony possession of controlled substances.
Sheriff David Allison credited deputies and investigators for their work in drug enforcement efforts in the county.
