LAMAR COUNTY – A 48-year-old woman has been charged with aggravated assault in a domestic violence case after deputies said a man was stabbed during a fight Monday night at an apartment on Shears Road.
Deputies responded around 9 p.m. Feb. 16, 2026, after a reported stabbing, according to authorities. Investigators said a 38-year-old man suffered a stab wound to the abdomen and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he underwent surgery.
Authorities identified the woman as Demetra Holloway, 48. Deputies said Holloway suffered a cut to her hand during the incident and was also taken to a local hospital for treatment.
After she was released, Holloway was transported to the Lamar County Jail and charged with aggravated assault/domestic violence, authorities said. Bond was set at $25,000.
