BRANDON — Families looking for an afternoon of outdoor fun or looking for an introduction into the world of horses can head to Brandon on April 4 for Pony Ride Day at Strong River Equine Center.
The three-hour event is scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. at the equine center, 5150 MS-18, and will feature pony rides, food and photos for children.
Organizers said rides will be available for $4 each, with multiple horses on hand to accommodate participants. The event is designed to provide a safe and welcoming experience for children, whether it’s their first pony ride or they are already familiar with horses.
In addition to pony rides, families can purchase hamburgers and hot dogs during the event. Vintage-inspired photos with horses will also be offered as keepsakes.
Strong River Equine Center also offers birthday parties, horse boarding and English and Western riding lessons throughout the year.
