LAFAYETTE COUNTY — Four people were critically injured Saturday night after a vehicle left the roadway on County Road 313, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.
The Lafayette County 911 Dispatch Center received the call at about 7:33 p.m. Feb. 7.
Deputies, the Lafayette County Fire Department and Priority Ambulance Service responded to the scene and found one vehicle off the roadway with four critically injured patients.
Emergency crews began life-saving measures, and four medical helicopters were requested because of the severity of the injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities said three patients were flown to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, and one patient was flown to Regional One Health in Memphis. All four were reported in critical condition at the time of transport.
The sheriff’s office investigation division is investigating the cause of the crash.
