GREENVILLE — The City of Greenville is partnering with St. Matthew AME Church to host a drive-thru giveaway Friday for residents affected by Winter Storm Fern, city officials announced.
The event is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. in front of Greenville City Hall and will continue while supplies last, according to a city news release.
Officials said residents can drive through to receive essential items, including water, juice, personal hygiene supplies and nonperishable food.
No registration is required, and distribution will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis, the city said.
Mayor Errick D. Simmons said the partnership is part of the city’s effort to support residents during recovery from the storm.
Residents are encouraged to arrive early and remain in their vehicles during distribution.
