McCOMB — Pike County Sheriff’s Office said its Special Response Team executed a search warrant Wednesday in McComb as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation and took one man into custody.
The sheriff’s office said the warrant was served Feb. 4, 2026, on Brine Street with assistance from the Parish County Line Task Force and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
Jerome Woodard was arrested during the search. The sheriff’s office said he was charged with two counts of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, manufacturing a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute within 1,500 feet of a church.
Officials said the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities noted that suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
